Hi everyone - back home now and it is raining! Had a nice walk at Portobello though so not so bad. Stopped for our free fish and chip meals too and a Tesco shop. Sitting relaxing now.
Well done on shoes win FF - lovely prize.
Taste card will come in handy Sylvia, never had one so you can tell me about them. Well done.
The concert sounds good ThreeWishes, well done to you too. We do a lot of canal walking in Lancashire. If you are looking for nice coastal places. Have you tried Silverdale , Arnside and Glasson? Don't think they are in Lancashire now but Cumbria. Our favourite is really Southport now a days.
Here is link to my Portobello pics for anyone who is interested. Know you want to see how it looks now FF.

Hope everyone has been having a great Leap Year Day.
Just been catching up on this page only. Well done on the wins.
We had a great walkabout in Canterbury on Saturday. I love it as it is pedestrianised. There were a lot of young people about as there are two big universities there and its term time. Have to say it was very cold there.
We had a brisk walk along the sea front at Dover today and saw France just.
Odd doing no comps for three days just caught up on emails.
Great to hear you had a good break too Sheils.
Sounds as though family are helping you prepare for your move Sylvia. It's easy to forget about plants till last minute.
Hope everyone is well. Will catch up reading back later.0 -

Thanks Sheils! Great photos - the weather looked great. If only the Scottish weather could be dry and sunny like that 90% of the time then more people might stay and holiday at home.
Leanfun I've been to Canterbury and used it as a base when touring the Kent coast. A long way away from home though so I'm not likely to be back any time soon!A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

3for it was great to have the lovely sunshine to enjoy our day yesterday. Our trip to New Lanark was the same last week. Makes such a difference. Scotland is wonderful when the weather is good.
Sounds like you had a lovely time too leanfun. It is great to get out and about.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Sorry for dropping off the radar like that... My cold decided I wasn't taking it seriously enough
Anyhow on the mend now and spent time yesterday catching up on some Comping.
Some good news this morning, thanks to JamboDP I've won some tickets to see the 80s invasion concert in Liverpool! See Midge Ure and Big Country, Curiosity killed the cat and Nick Heyward.
Have to start again Sheils, getting to know whose who :rotfl: if you've been visiting Lancashire a lot, any recommendations on coastal places to visit?
Congrats on your win Firefly
Better carry on catching up, keeping my fingers crossed nowlomaxsylvia wrote: »Congratulations on your Win firefly, nice choice you made.

Morning peeps. Well what a night hardly slept a wink with rain battering of my windows till about 4am this morning. Hopefully will get some comps done today. Good luck everyone.0

Good Morning,
Been a wet windy night here but supposed to dry up later. Got stacks of washing to get dry so hope so. Will be using tumble drier for undies etc anyway but scared of shrinking DD & DS3s other things.
DD thinks her Uni interview went well so hopefully as long as she gets 2xB and a C in her Highers she will get in. Not sure why she wants to do Mental Health Nursing it sounds like hard work to me!
DS3 "lost" his keys and couldn't get in house yesterday when he came back from Glasgow but I see they have appeared now. He is always losing things and drives me mad.
Must get some comps done.
Good luck for March everyone.
