    Morning all.

Hi I love comps. Shame about you and Rose being awake so early. This winter we have been going to bed late and up late.

Hope you have a good time with GKs Rose. Would love some of your soup.

Sheils so pleased you enjoyed yesterday. Today you would not have been able to do walk. Weather so changeable. Great for your DS3 to be away for a bit a lot of adjusting for him.

Alfie it's sunny here too today. Enjoy your gardening.i might even go into ours if it's not too cold.

Well late yesterday afternoon we did make it out. We went up to Victoria by train. Mainly to buy some Euros. It's gambling what is going to happen? We usually buy and then it goes up. This was planning ahead for holiday.

Outside Victoria station is a constructon site again. Victoria Street up to parliament is unrecognisable all the old buildings are gone and it's all high glass buildings. The wind really blows around there. Had thought we would have something to eat there but all the old places are gone.

Great pics today. Sheils the cat at the window made me feel cold.

Hope everyone has a good hump day. Good luck everyone.

yaaaaaaaaaaaaay I have won a prize in a raffle at DS base. They have been trying to raise £50,000 for kids from Sick Childrens hospital in Glasgow for parents who can't afford equipment which would stimulate and aid kids with disabilities. So far in the two months this year they have raised £58,000 and still another month of fund raising to go.I have won a £250 drinks hamper so have decided will put it past till summer time and when we have a big bbq will roll it out. Tickets were £5 each but didn't grudge it as they helped my nephew at the old hospital (Yorkhill) with operations to get him walking (he has cerebral palsy). Leanfun will send you some soup over the net so have a bowl ready to catch it don't want to mess up whatever you connect with. Shame they are messing up London with these new buildings I travelled up and down for thirteen years once or twice a month and every time I arrived it had changed. Love the restaurants in Brick Lane was a favourate haunt of mine for eating love Indian . food. Have been in parliament a few times and frequented Maggies Bar in there where I used to meet with some of our union sponsored mp's. It's not much bigger than my living room but was very friendly. Also loved a load of sight seeing if I arrived there on a Thursday I would not have to leave till sunday to travel home so had Saturday to myself. Goodness I am rabbiting on lol

Well done on win Rose. Great the fun raising they are doing for such a good cause.

Thanks the soup will be great for lunch. It's one of my favourite things but I am useless at making.

Rose it is good to reminisce. Yes, hate it that so much is changing not for the better I might say. When we went to the Food Festival at Brick Lane they had kept the original buildings there and adapted them. So much better.

Glad it wasn't today we had a day out as it is sleety rain here now.
DS2 is going to help his brother with his CV and advise him what agencies to use to find a better job although he might have a job for him himself. DS3 is on holiday for 2 weeks so good chance to look around. No rush as he still has a job but time he moved on to better things.

My DH used to be a Union Rep rose. He worked for the Scottish Bus Company and went all over to meetings. It was before we were together though. Well done on the lovely win.

shiels it is a bit different and I do not mean it is different for your hubby job. Just have to take my self out of job and I do not mean different for your family luckily I was able to take myself wher I could live without money and survive. I really get ticked of with peeps who think I can live with nothing. Wonder why I am skinny. I can survive but if you are selfish then that is your problem

  • Great win Rosemac and to help a great cause too. :) Hope that the operations that your nephew had helped him. I have CP but managed to avoid the surgeons knife by using orthotics which I still wear.
