Disagreed with recovery guy over temporary fix - could I receive a bill?

    however this is unlikely as the usually request payment before releasing the car.
    Since when?

    When I worked for a breakdown service that were used by all the major breakdown companies we billed the company that requested us to attend.

    the only problem u might have if in your terms it says nearest garage not whatever one you want

  • Not heard anything yet, apart from a generic customer service satisfaction questionnaire by email! If I was going to get a bill, when do you reckon I would know by?

    In worse news, it wasn't the spark plugs or leads anyway. There's a serious engine fault and it's not worth repairing. Really bloody annoying for a car that, albeit old, had only done less than 70k miles. Was going to market it for £1500 next month!!!! Pushed my luck a bit too far this time :(

    At least tell us what car it is and what fault has been diagnosed. Someone might have a suggestion other than scrapping it.
