I've just seen on a money saving blog that a couple cancel their sky package every 12 months ano sign up again in the other persons name - does this really work if you're at the same address?
Thanks :-)
Thanks :-)

The answer is that it might work if the couple have different surnames….once.
If they did it annually then they are very unlikely to be treated as "new" customers with new equipment and offers..0 -
It definitely does work at least once because my daughter and (now) son in law did it prior to getting married:T
HOWEVER, it isn't difficult to cancel after the min. term and negotiate a price that is virtually as good as a new customer offer.0 -

The point is that it is definitely against Sky's terms and conditions and if there is receipt of new equipment after only a year then that's rather greedy and unnecessary, not to say dishonest, in my opinion.
As you say, it's eminently just as possible to match or even beat new customer offers by going through Retentions at the end of the minimum term. Probably a lot less hassle and not likely to be "caught out" either.0 -
People have been caught out and then been bound to a minimum term, but at full price.0

I've never come across this - once a contract is in place -then it stands. with Sky
I'm sorry but I think you're completely wrong but perhaps you can quote links to prove otherwise ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
