Energyhelpline Winter Collective 16

Hey,

Does anyone know when Energyhelpline will announce the winner of their upcoming collective? I signed up a while ago and still haven't heard anything.

I'm eager to compare against other collectives, but I believe MSE's closes soon so don't want to miss out.

Thanks

    According to their website,
Our winter collective will open for switching on the 15th Feb from 9am

Are you sure that you registered? I only ask because I've had at least two emails reminding me of the GB Collective deal launching Monday (EHL):)

I think Energy Helpline actually plan to have different 'winners' in each of the different electricity/gas regions - rather than just one firm/tariff nationwide which will be interesting.

In theory, this should work better than the other collective tariffs but we will see...

Their E.ON "National Winner - 1 year fixed" (which might be Electricity only - i can't tell as I only have elec) is cheaper than the MSE collective switch for me.

The EHL Fixed 1 Collective Feb 2016 Paperless is 10.920p per kWh, compared to MSE's 11.036p per kWh.

Good job I signed up last Friday!

Hopefully switching now won't cause me to lose the MSE Collective switch cash back either, considering that tariff switch completed fine a couple of weeks ago.

And GBEnergy is only 10.02p/kWh inc VAT. A good job that I signed up 2 months ago.

Wow, that's a good tariff - I think SWEB is pretty expensive!

    I have something similar.

If I look at the electricity only prices - in London - the EHL EON Fixed 1 Collective Feb 2016 tariff is 9.723p/kWh vs 9.807p in the current MSE EON collective offer

Now just to see what UKPower/iChoosr have negotiated as well..!

Yes - good if MSE can clarify this. The energy club still says 'switch in progress' but I know my Eon tariff actually changed within 24 hours as an existing customer..

Annoyingly, I was too late to register for this one! Hopefully it won't be too much cheaper!
  • Nothing here for me and I'm pretty much expecting it to be exactly the same/similar when UKPower/iChoosr send me my personalised offer later today.

This is probably only of use to somebody who gambled on E.ON's V20 being cheaper than V19 and got it wrong.

However it really does make a total mockery of the [STRIKE]lies[/STRIKE] erm sorry excuses the E.ON reps have been instructed to promote as the reasons for V20 being so expensive when they had this waiting in the wings all the time.

Malc/Helena - Don't take this personally chaps but before typing your pink and fluffy corporate dribble in future you would probably do well to engage brain first and remember that most customers are not as thick as E.ON's management would have you believe. :D

    For my use
Electric Only - E.ON EHL Fixed 1 Collective Feb 2016 Paperless is £10.32 per year more expensive than E.ON V19.
Gas Only - SSE Collective 1 Year Fixed Paperless Billing is £11.04 per year more expensive than Zog Mercury 12 plus the £30 exit fee.

Haven't even looked at the E.ON Dual Fuel offer as it's more expensive to start with and I would need to pay Zog the £30 exit fee.

I now expect E.ON's V21 to be released any day now. :rotfl:
  • Nothing much here for me either, Npower would save me roughly £30 a year over E.on's V19 but it's not worth changing for that.
