one of igpower's assessors came to our house to assess our boiler, they said they will get back to us with the make of their boiler. We waited a couple of days for their reply but they did not call us so we decided to go to a different company. Now igpower called and i told them i don't want to go ahead, he said he will charge us for the call outs but this was not mentioned before, do i have to pay him?
can someone help me, or call someone about it?

If you've not entered a contract to pay - then you don'y have to pay.

But if you did, then you will need to pay in accordance with the contract you entered.

I suggest you seek independent legal advice if you are still unsure.

Why dont you call them and verify if you will have to pay or not?

Please contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) and ask for help. They will need to see all the paperwork that igpower gave you and should be able to advise you on the correct course of action.

Don't wait for this to get worse

If igpower keep calling you then ask them to put it in writing.

If while you are awaiting an appointment at the CAB and igpower phone then tell them this and repeat that they must put any claims in writing so you can pass it on to the CAB.
