Can anyone help!!! I recently applied for ppi for a old egg loan and today received a letter from Canada square saying I needed to contact Barclays as they have to deal with this?! Even though Canada Square had all my details and I've already sorted Egg Credit card through Barclays?!!
Anyone else had this?
Thank you

If the letter tells you to complain to Barclays for Egg loan PPI then I'd just re-direct your original complaint as instructed.
By the way, you don't "apply" for PPI, you have to send a complaint showing the insurance was somehow mis-sold to you. What reasons do you have?0 -
Yes sorry I do realise you don't apply what I meant was I was applying for information regarding ppi re claim.. Reason was it was automatically applied and I was self employed so wouldn't have been able to claim it.. Just found it strange that citi bank are passing it to Barclays when it's a egg loan not egg card?0

As far as I'm aware, the Egg personal loan portfolio went to Britannica Recoveries SARL and not Barclays.0 -
Thank will contact Canada square again as they had all my loan details.. I do have a number fore them but it's impossible to talk to anyone in ppi department .. Have a feeling I'm going to be running around in circles0

. Reason was it was automatically applied
How do you mean? If it was a pre-ticked box online, fine, otherwise what do you mean and what proof did you provide?.and I was self employed so wouldn't have been able to claim it..
Are you sure? Have you confirmed in the Ts & Cs that their PPI wouldn't cover the self-employed?
Above 2 sound like the normal claims company reasonsSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
