Hotpoint or Samsung fridge freezer?

We're moving house and need to replace our separate fridge and freezer with a single tall one.
My husband wants to get a FF with the best energy rating and the most capacity. We've narrowed it down to a Hotpoint XUL (sorry, I'm on my phone, so can't type exact product numbers) and a Samsung Chef.
The Samsung has a bit more storage, better energy efficiancy and is quieter, so he wants to get that. I can't see how it's worth nearly double the price. The Hotpoint looks fine to me. He's worried about reliability of the Hotpoint. Or we could go for a Bosch, which is currently serving us well.
Any advice on which is the more reliable and best value for money would be gracefully received.

I wouldn't pay twice the Hotpoint price for a Samsung, although noise can be an important factor in some homes. Most fridge freezers are reliable enough so I wouldn't worry about that too much, you'll hear stories about terrible experiences with just about any make. Of the three I'd prefer a Bosch.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
  • I have a Hotpoint fridge freezer which is now in it's sixth year.

I chose it initially for it's colour which matches other items in the kitchen, and it's proved a reliable and quiet unit. A+ rating as well so cheap to run.

  • Go for a Bosch every time over the other 2. Reliability should be better.

If you are choosing between Samsung and Hotpoint, according to "Which?" Samsung is the better option for reliability.
However, as pointed out in the previous post, Bosch is slightly ahead of Samsung and is top for reliability.
