has anybody else had a letter from D & L Leisure Promotions to say they have been given a 7 night luxury holiday?I recieved a letter a few weeks ago, which I thought was a scam and threw in the bin, then now I have received another one with a different date to attend a seminar for them to 'promote our travel services'.According to the letter we will be given 7 night luxury accomodation for up to 6 people in either Spain, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Fuertteventura, Portugal or Maderia. Flights can be provided at £49 per person or we can make our own travel arrangements. The letter also states:'Please be completely assured that this is a totally genuine holiday promotion and NOT A TIMESHARE Presentation. We give you our absolute assurance that you do not need to buy or sign anything to recieve your holiday Award. Please allow us approximatley 90 minutes to promote our travel services.'Has anybody else recieved a letter from this company or attended one of their 'presentations'? It sounds too good to be true to me and I'm sure there has to be some kind of catch somewhere but I will kick myself if it is a genuine offer and we miss out on a 7 night holiday for under £300 for 6 of us.Should we take the time to attend the 'presentation' or am I being gullable and I should just throw it in the bin?Lisa xx

It's a borderline case by the sounds of it. Free/cheap holiday with you having to pay for travel and other things, and having to endure a sales pitch for some sort of timeshare or holiday club etc.
I've had a quick google search and nothing startling has been found yet.Name & Registered Office:

Thanks very much tomstickland and albertross, There is a phone number to contact them on the website so might give them a call in the morning and see if they sound genuine and what its all about. Thank for your replies, Lisa xx0

However they dress these offers up they are trying to sell you something which will be almost certainly be overpriced. They may well provide the accommodation but do they guarantee to provide £49 flights on the dates you can travel? You will probably be faced with highly skilled, high pressure salespeople who will more than likely become agressive if you say you are not interested. Save yourself the hassle, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. IMHO.0

IT'S NOT TIMESHARE... it's a "holiday club" where you pay loads up front on the promise of getting "cheap" holidays which:
a) aren't cheap anyway and
b) are never available for the dates you want0 -

And that's the important difference. There are now quite strict laws governing timeshare selling and operation. So to get round these laws we now see "holiday clubs" being operated which don't give you the same protection. I have a feeling though that there is an EU law coming out soon which will cover holiday clubs as well. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

wow thank you very much for all your replies, I tought it was too good to be true and it sounds like it probably is, so I think it can go in the bin and we wont waste our time or money.I really cant stand over pushy sales people and I'm sure we'd come across a few of them if we went to the presentation. Thanks again to all of you for your help, Lisa xx0
