Npower complex metering tariffs

So 2 months on and time to update
A helpful lady from nPower took up the case and on 18th April our old legacy meter was switched for an Economy 7 meter. This was a painless and free process though we had to get an independent electrician to confirm that there would be no connectivity issues
After 1 week I'm extremely happy to report that all is as it should be. We have gone from a monthly rate of £230 on our old legacy 9hr off peak meter, to £133 based on exactly 1 weeks readings. Heaters are still fully on as well, we're still in full Winter mode due to the weather, so that should come down further when we switch off for Summer
I am so grateful to this forum as nPower have told me a formal complaint was generated from this (which I didn't know) and that's what kicked off the action. I am also grateful for advice from other forum users and to Carol from nPower who took this on
Part of me still thinks that nPower should have advised me to undertake this course of action as part of the whole finding the best possible tariff thing, rather than me having to beg them to do something about the old legacy situation, but at least it's sorted now
My advice to anyone in a similar situation? Do not go anywhere near Customer Services. They don't understand this situation. Ask straight away for referral to the Complex Metering Team

I have tried twice to change from E on. Again its a complex meter. They increased my bill by £100 a month. Is this how they keep customers ?? Cant move to other companies. So i need to get myelf another meter and have it fitted ! Then i can change supplier.0

Irene C - I would start a new thread with this
Complex metering can mean different things. The example on this thread was Economy 10 or similar.
If you describe what your current setup is (how many different readings and meters there are, what type of heating you have, what percentage energy you use in the different times etc) then someone will be able to advise.
It may require electric work as well as a meter change, depending on what your current set up is.Indecision is the key to flexibility
