It's interesting that when the FTSE fell by 3% a few days ago the headlines were........
'Billions wiped off share values'. 'Stock Market Crash' etc.
Yesterday the FTSE rose by 3% and newspapers don't seem to have noticed!0 -
Oh dear, the Zerobrainers have claimed another victim. Now don't get me wrong AG47, or can I call you Ag, I have nothing against Zerobrainers, just that I don't want them anywhere near my grandchildren.
Can I first caution you against going on their site ever again, and if you pm me I can recommend a good aversion therapist who can see you back to rude health.
The second thing I ask you to do is look at my ATS link and go to the bottom of the page, to the street plan of were they are located......It's in a dead end.
So I can't quite accept the claim of customers "queuing round the block" maybe it was as far as the taxi rank outside the Savoy Hotel, but that, in my estimation, is about the size of it.
Yes, in case you haven't guessed, I lived and worked in London over half my life and did once buy some gold from ATS..._

You may be forgetting when the last time was that you looked at your account. It is only up 10% over the last week (5 feb to 12 feb). For the full 25% you need to go back two weeksDoshwaster wrote: »Just checked my HL account and my Blackrock Gold and General fund is up 25% in the last week. I'm gonna be rich!
But of course equities in gold miners are often leveraged plays on metal prices and energy / labour / finance prices, rather than giving you the return of holding the actual metal which is what the businesses in the article prefer to encourage. My physical precious metals ETF (small part of one of my portfolios) is only up about 12% over the last month.
Well, as the map shows, their premises is indeed on a small 'block' bordered by the Savoy approach, the Strand and Carting Lane (the alleyway down the side of the Coal Hole), so seems a decent figure of speech, if not a literal 'claim'.The second thing I ask you to do is look at my ATS link and go to the bottom of the page, to the street plan of were they are located......It's in a dead end.

Wow £4 million in a day? A huge dent in the $240 billion of gold traded daily in London
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
