Sofa So Good

Hi all,

Mum bought a sofa just before Christmas. Unfortunately, she decided she didn't like it - after I'd unpacked it and put it in situ of course ;)

Anyway, we managed to get her a refund from the sofa company without any issue. However, it's been almost a month since they gave the refund but they haven't come to pick it up. My fianc!e thinks that if they don't pick up the sofa after a certain period of time mum can keep it (and sell it I guess). However, there's no way I'm going to advise my mum to do this without first speaking with you knowledgeable guys n gals. So, where does mum stand (or sit) with this?

    This document explains your responsibilities.
OK, not quite your situation, but the principles are exactly the same.

You must look after the goods properly - no leaving it on the pavement awaiting collection. :D
