Waiting to hear back from 10 job interviews

I've had 10 interviews over the past two weeks. 12 if you include second interviews. But no feedback at all from the 8 other places I've not have second interviews for. Just silence. I'm guessing that I've not got any job as most jobs I have got previously I have heard that day or the next day.
They were either doing all day interviews or I was the last candidate to be interviewed they said so don't think they are waiting to see other candidates so that isn't the hold up.
Now it's almost Friday evening so now going to have all weekend to wait. Trying not to think of it. The jobs in question are all PA jobs in the City.
Anybody got any thoughts? I've been sending polite follow up emails after a week has passed but no reply.

Did you not ask in interview what the process was?
Did you ask anything when the interviewer said - do you have any questions? Optimal time to ask about the follow up.0 -

Yep - was told end of week or "as soon as possible." I would be happy just getting a no email as then I know! I've interviewed in the past and have certainly never made candidates wait for over a week.0 -
Have you followed any of the interviews up...0

You must be doing something right to get 10 interviews plus 2 second interviews. Even if you don't get the jobs you are currently chasing, I would say the outlook is positive - as long as you can stay positive yourself despite knockbacks.0

I have been getting very frustrated by this new way that organisations think acceptable to treat people going for interviews. It's happened to my husband 6 times now and my mum 3 times.
You spend your time preparing for the interview, travelling to it and answering all their questions and then never hear anything. It's so rude and totally not acceptable imo. If this is what they treat people like that they are trying to attract into the company, how are they going to treat you when you work there?
I interview all the time in my role and telephone unsuccessful candidates to give them proper feedback if they want it. I wouldn't dream of not telling someone the outcome of an interview - outrageous but this is how companies think they can behave!0 -
The last time it took me this long to hear I was their second choice. They told the no way people quickly the the first choices had time to negotiate pay etc. Was gutted for one where it took them nearly 3 weeks to let me know - no thanks.
It crappy there's 10 to wait on. And even crappier to keep people waiting over the weekend. BUT don't become disheartened - keep smiling for the next one. Your time will come. 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

I'm thinking out of 10 interviews hopefully you'll have at least one option from that. I hope if you get a couple of offers you get them at the same time so you can negotiate and choose.
Let us know how you get on.
Try to stay positive. 0 -
I don't know if it still happens that 1st choice candidate is told fairly quickly, but 2nd choice kept waiting until 1st choice accepts or rejects, then 2nd choice is told sorry or congratulations. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Well I've started to hear back now. Two were positive feedback but we've decided to go with an internal candidate / someone with more experience.
Just had one phone call saying that I come across as "quiet" in the interview. This was an hour long interview where I thought the interviewer and myself got on very well and he kept saying he could see me working for such and such partner. The feedback was that it's a very large company and they need assertive PAs who can push back and are used to working at that higher level. I have worked as a senior PA in the past for Directors.
It was nice of them to call and give me feedback but it's left me feeling a bit down. I am an introvert yet I like working in teams and have an excellent CV and appraisals from working as a PA. Urgh.0 -

I've not heard of a PA working as a team member though.
In my experience your job is to 'protect' your boss?0
