Transferring/acquiring car...reg doc unsigned
Could someone advise please
My friend has gifted me her car but sadly passed before things were sorted. She had told her family so everyone knows it above board and her wishes.
She hadn't got round to signing reg doc as her passing although expected was rather sudden. We all thought we had more time
Never heard of this situation and don't know how to proceed

V5 is not proof of ownership - just fill in the V5 and send it back - put the date of the change when you actually took possession of the car.
As long as the Executors of the Estate know about this there shouldnt be a problem, unless she had a lot of debt and no assests.0 -
No debts, no assets. Executor aware so should be no problem. Thank youLBM.....sometime in 2013 £27,056. 10 creditors
