    True the legal requirements for 30 and 45 days are legal minimums.
    Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.

    What that is saying is that if it is obvious that you are the only person who could be made redundant they do not need to explain a selection process. Offering a different role just means that the employer can offer another job to avoid making someone redundant and paying the costs of doing so.
