course cancellation period

Hi,

Signed up for a course in bricklaying which I fully intend to do.

However I cannot start the course until November due to it being full.

I have been advised that there is a 14 day cooling off period after booking the course with the college.

However my question is - should that period run from the date of booking or the date of the start of the course?

I suspect date of booking - but little point in offering the cooling off period if you have to grab places due to it being popular and can't asses the quality of the product until after the period has expired.

Any thoughts?

Comments

  • If the course is popular then that suggests there is no quality issue.

Regardless, the 14 days cooling off period begins from the date of booking..just as it says..

That 14 day cooling of period is for change of mind type of cancellations.

If after starting the course you discover the product is not as described, then you can of course complain and seek a remedy at that time.
  • Thanks - thought that was all as expected.

    All sorted now :)
