Is it only me - or is anyone else experiencing problems with Thunderbird 38.5.1 ?
Since the latest update - my installation has been freezing and causing all sorts of problems...
eg) Even the Task Manager won't close the program and I have ended up rebooting to deal with it !!

Fine here. 1st try Help and Restart with addons disabled...If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0

Tried that - no effect - ended up uninstalling Tbird and reinstalling it
It is still slower than it used to be - but at least it is not freezing....0 -
Tools -> Activity manager . Is it actually doing anything? (alternatively does Task Manager say its doing something?).If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0

Yes - it is sending and receiving - very slowly (I am on an 80Mb fibre !!)
Everything else on my laptop is running at full speed (including Outlook 2013)0 -
I won't ask why you have Thunderbird and Outlook running on the same client. I assume they're not syncing the same account(s) at the same time?If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0

Yeh my thunderbird fine.
I had a similar problem with Avast and Thunderbird lately but I completely uninstalled Avast and reinstalled and that solved the problem.0
