Dyson or Gtech

Options
I need to buy a new vacuum cleaner and would like a cordless one.

Have narrowed it down to either a Dyson or GTECH Air ram.

Does any one have either of these? Would you recommend?

I have a Dyson cordless and I find it useless. It is about 18 months - 2 years old so it is not one of the most recent models.

It is better on my hard floor areas, but on carpet I find it ineffective, to the point I have recently bought a new corded vacuum.

It may well be that it is more effective on different carpets types, long v short, wool v synthetic, but I am very disappointed with its performance.

I have had several Dyson's over the years, but having just bought a Sebo I would never buy one again.

When I bought the Sebo, I spoke to the advisor in John Lewis and he told me that if I wasn't happy I could return it - even if it had been used. If I was buying a cordless again, I would definitely buy it from JL, just so that I could return it without a problem if needed.

I've had the Gtech, a Vax, a Morphy and a Dyson cordless. They are all useless and all went back to the shop.

I didn't want miracles but I was better off with a broom. They all seem to have a habit of dumping a little pile of dirt when you turn them off or flicking the dirt behind instead of sucking it up.

I have just bought the most compact corded Dyson and it is a relief.
