Can I get a help to buy ISA?

Hi everybody!
Bit of background. When my wife and I first met she had just bought a house (our current home) I was looking but we ended up moving in together so I never bought. All the mortgage is in my wife's name (although we are now married)
We want to move on, but as I have never bought a property before, can I use the help to buy ISA? I know my wife can't but it would help if I could put my savings in there.
Thanks money gurus

Yes, the ISA is an individual account, so if you've never yourself owned or part owned a property, you will qualify for the HTB ISA.0

Thanks for that. I was unsure as we got married in 2008 so obviously we share assets/debts at that point. Thanks for the advice

Unless you registered a notice with the land registry or transferred the property into joint names, then while the property would be regarded as a marital asset if you were to separate, you are not a part-owner of the property.sideshow_matt wrote: »Thanks for that.
