Hello, the actiontec wifi card has got broken on my Dell laptop so I need to replace it. I've been asked if I need a 16 or a 32 bit card but I can't find anything on the card or computer to say. Does anyone know of any way I can find out which I need?
Thanks

Ummmm it's the card which you stick into the card slot on the side of the laptop.
It's a Dell Inspiron 5160.The stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0 -

It looks exactly like that... it defiantly doesn't have it built in, Dell were looking silly money for built in at the time, it's a few years old.The stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0

Any of these should do if it is a std pcmcia slot.
Is the one you have physically damaged?

Thanks for that albertross
it's definitely broke, himself fell on it when he had a broken leg last November... I wrapped brown tape round it which worked for a while but it's knackered now.
He brought a Belkin one from Curry's earlier but I think we'll take it back as they couldn't tell if it was compatible or not.The stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0 -
