PC SCSI storage errors - any expert help appreciated!

Options
Hello...

My desktop PC appears to have been struck down with something I fear may be beyond my technical expertise!

First symptom was my USB keyboard not responding and having circumnavigated not being able to log on by going in as Administrator I can see the following strong clue in System Info under Components>Storage>SCSI where my Gigabyte GBB36X controller is showing in Error status and elsewhere I have spotted a 'This device cannot start' (Code 10) message for the same device.

Weirdly some other connected devices appear to respond such as my mouse and external hard drive but equally my broadband connection/network is not functioning along with the keyboard. Having tested the keyboard successfully with another PC and with the broadband working fine over wi-fi I'm pretty sure I have something potentially requiring an IT professional!

Can anybody shed any additional light on what this might be? I'm running Windows 7.

Many thanks in advance

Power supply starting to fail? unplug some devices and see it matters improve.

Start in safe mode with network support, working now?

Do you really have SCSI storage (a large-machine fad of the 90s)?
The bane of that storage mechanism was that the SCSI bus had to be properly terminated.

I would check inside the system unit for plugs which may not be fully pushed home into their sockets, so wiglle them and/or remove and replug (but obviously power off and earth yourself to the case before playing)...
