Comp to win a Villa in Majorca and Holiday to New York

Options
Just spotted a competition on Facebook to win a Villa in Majorca and then they have put some comps on for another company.

https://www.facebook.com/Thomson-441638679380531/

Looks a bit dodgy to me as page only created 11 hours ago, and Thomson already have an established Facebook page.

Just wanted others thoughts on it before I post anything on here.

It may be legit (as over 9,000 entered already, but I have emailed Thomsons to double check.

Any thoughts?

    Fake as a £3 note

    Real Thomson page https://www.facebook.com/Thomsonholidays/?ref=ts&fref=ts

Edit and the page is gone...

Unless it's on the official facebook page linked via the company's official website, consider it fake. It baffles me how many people can fall for these, I see cruise ones or virgin flights at least once a week.
  • Looks like it has been taken down, thankfully, as now showing the content is no longer available. They managed to get over 9,000 people liking and commenting on their page in 11 hours though.

People behind that one seem to start new ones almost daily, that's not the first Thomson one they have done.

How people are falling for this I have no idea.. There are 2 people on my friends list who 'like' that page.. Thankfully not close friends or i'd give them some verbal for being so foolish!
  • There are loads of them on there and the most of the time I get to know about them because my FB friends have shared them - they seem to dissapear as soon as I post a comment on them suggesting they are fake (pointing out reasons such as no contact address no telephone contact number no website etc etc).
