Help with Iomega Hard Drive!!!

Dear Experts:o

I bought Iomega 320GB External Hard Drive

After connecting to the PC [Windows XP]it appeared nicely in MyComputer.
when I right clicked on into 'Properties' it came up 298GB and the File system FAT32.

When I clicked on 'Format' it says file System NTSC

I am not sure what all these?

Do I just leave it or do anything?

Please Help!!! what is the difference between them ?

Your help much appreciated:beer:

  • FAT32 and NTFS are just different ways of formatting a hard drive. The main advantage of NTFS is that it can store files larger than 4GB, so if you'll be using it for large video files etc. or Windows Backup (which creates a single file), you'll have to format it as NTFS. Apart from that, leave it as FAT32.

You can also convert it from FAT32 to NTFS at a later date without losing any data.
