Could anyone who has done this tell me whether they keep you informed via email/text message.
I did the switch on tuesday when the 125 offer went live but i've yet to have any contact about this they gave me a date of the 17 feb when the switch will be fully completed.

I don't really expect to hear much until the switch date and then only to confirm the switch. It's likely you won't hear much until the switch date unless there's a hitch.
I do have DDs on the existing Halifax Reward account but there are none to switch on the account being switched so not sure whether they'll pay the switching bonus. A bit of a shot in the dark for me.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

from what people have said previously the bonus of 125 isn't related to any DD switched its for the account closure and use of the 7 day switch.
The addition of two DD's does get you the reward element of 5 per month but i'm already getting that.
In the application to switch it does say we will keep in touch with you if you supply your mobile i did give it but they already have this as you said its only 7 days and not much happens until day 6/7 etc0 -

I'm not too sure on what terms it could be broken but i'm sure there clever people who could work around getting the bonus and not having to close the account.
I don't mind closing it i don't need it so if it helps getting me 125 for free why not. I've amassed quite afew extra accounts over the past few years and this is my first switch hopefully more to follow.0 -
I switched to the Halifax (from NatWest) last December.
Think I got a text on the second working day saying the process had started (words to that effect) and then about two/three days later a message telling me it would be completed by the date I'd requested.
I recently closed it to take up Yorkshire Bank's offering of £150 but they've never asked me for the money back... yet! It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
just checked my halifax account and the incentive has been payed a nice 125 just three days after i entered the switch information.
a very smooth process i would have liked more information during it but not much they can tell me in 3 days i suppose.0
