Fraudulent Cheap Energy Club Quotations.

Keep in mind that some of the deals you see on MSE don't show up on the other sites. I would guess it is possible that other deals don't show up on this site too, but that is just a guess.
Just to clear this up, Cheap Energy Club offers a full market comparison. The only time a tariff shouldn't show on the site is where it is part of a collective switch organised by another party.
Hope this helps.0 -
Hi Pengers
In this case it sounds like you've actually selected the wrong tariff. We've had lots of users email us telling us about this type of problem, but in each case they've made a mistake and selected a different (but similarly named) tariff on their CEC account.
Definitely worth checking if you've actually selected Price Promise and not Price Fix or Price Freeeze.
Very Helpful MSE DanL. Yes I had selected the wrong tariff with a slightly different name frrom the 33 choices which I had. ( I had selected FIXED instead of PROMISE)0 -

Also important and confusing is the fact that bills show the unit rate without VAT, while offers online show the unit rate with VAT.
Anyway the good news with edf is that their MARCH Blue + price Promise is only 2.308 (where I live) including VAT which is slightly cheaper than the previous ones. Plus no exit fees. I have changed. (Standing charge high if you are a low user - 26.25 incl VAT)0 -

The simple reason for that is that businesses have to account for VAT at 5% on domestic energy and 20% on business energy - comparison sites do not. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I can't work out what tariff I am on!
I am on "SSE 1 Year Fixed" due to end in August. I did a comparison with MSE & Moneysupermarket and was told that I could save £100+. I checked the projected cost if I stay with SSE and found the £100+ saving was actually £60, which would just cover the early termination charge. The tariff of that name on MSE or MS does not have my gas unit prices ( 2.77/kWh & 21.92/day). I have paged through some of the 1 year fixed (V4, V5) but can't find the rate. I will sit tight and wait until 50 days out from contract end and check again.
The moral is: check your current unit prices on the comparison site.
