Halifax switch requirements

Hi everyone
The requirements for Halifax reward account is 750 pay in, 2 direct debits and be in credit.
Do I need to have 2 direct debits set up prior to a switch, or just need 2 direct debits to go out each month I want the 5 pound? The other 2 requirements I am fine with, I have set up a donor co op account, I am just wondering if I need to wait for my direct debits to go out of my co op account or if I can just switch now, miss the first month reward and then start getting it as my direct debits will be working?
I hope that was clear for you,
Thank you in advance!

That was something I've been wondering too, whether it has to be 2 direct debits you already have set up in your previous bank account, or whether you can just set up 2 new direct debits in your Halifax account.MFIT #73 - Pay all mortgage off in 3 years[STRIKE] £46,400[/STRIKE]£34,295 PAID £12,1050

You can switch without the DD's set up and get the switching reward, the DD requirements are only for the £5 monthly reward.
Hope that helps'If you ain't living life on the edge you are taking up too much room'
