Just heard that my revised offer of 120k has been accepted so I'm going ahead with the sale. I'm feeling less worried about the survey report thanks to advice on here. Thanks everyone for your helpful comments

Fantastic news, not only have you saved £10k but also no stamp duty as under £125k!

Well done!
Even though it was overpriced you still did well to get the vendors to accept +10% off the original asking price, I can't even get 5% off overpriced houses in my area!1 -
Hmmmmmm ... I'm wondering if the vendor had more room for manoevre than he was letting on. I would agree that even £120k seems high, but a 6-month procrastination could easily see that £10k offer eroded in some parts of the UK.0

With regards to the doors not having safety glass, there is a film you can buy to put on the glass.
I had to use it some years ago when childminding, on glass cabinet doors.
It would be cheaper than replacing the glass if you wanted to keep those doors.0 -
Wouldn't bother faffing with replacing the glass. I sold some (6) of those 15+ multipane internal doors on ebay (was not expecting much), just wanted rid and collection.
I replaced them all with regular safety glass, unoffensive wood/glass panel ones for a few hundred. All new known high street stores, free/cheap delivery types!
Much cheaper.0
