  • Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Frosty here too, no heater on in the sitting room, will light the fire when I get up, still in my pit. OH brought me my breakfast.

Laundry to go out on the line, also have the bed linen to iron when I can rustle up some energy.

Nothing planned, will get on with the matinee coat. Got quite a bit done yesterday, hopefully will get it done by the weekend, the wee bonnet will not take long to do. If there is enough yarn left, I will do the booties as well.

    Morning all,

Not a bad day today but still very sodden and muddy on the park.Yesterday was lovely but cold, but would much rather that than the constant rain.I had a lovely lunch with my friend & we had lots to catch up on as last time we met it was with our larger group of ( ahem) 'girls' and its more general chit chat.We took our ipads and swapped to show photos, hers of her 3 mth old DGD and mine of the flood/landslide! She grew up near here as I did, though she hasnt lived round here since she went to Uni and stayed in Yorkshire afterwards. She couldnt get over the change in landscape since she was last here.We used to play in the woods across the road as children & now quite a few of the trees either slid down the hill on Boxing Day or have been removed by the workmen in the interestes of safety :(

My afternoon for helping out at school-it comes round so quickly! Half term next week though.DGD didnt stay over last night, she wanted her other Nana, and was so tired after her full day at preschool she was nearly asleep on the rug,DS just managed to get her in the car :rotfl:

DH is off to Manchester tonight for a concert with 3 friends .Its an early start so something simple for tea,I've got some leftover from Xmas gammon from the freezer so we'll have that with chips.
FBO- I've got a Runrig cd somewhere, enjoy the gig.

    Enjoy your day everyone x

  • Good morning all

Another lovely day, a blue sky at the moment, I hope it lasts. I think we all feel better when the day is bright. We also had a frost and Himself had to clear it off the car before we went out.

We popped into town and dropped DGD1 off at work. i needed a birthday card for DGS. It is his birthday the day after Himself next week and he will be 19, where has that time gone?

We bought a few bits from M&S, had a coffee and then came home.

We have tortellini for our meal this evening with tomato and mascapone sauce so that won't take long. We have a cheese scone each for lunch with a selection of cheeses and then Himself will have to have his banana as usual. He has to have a repeat blood test next week because of his potassium levels. For goodness sake he eats at least 14 bananas a week how can his potassium level be low?:)
    Have a good day all

  • Apologies for not posting lately but it has been so busy with hospital, clinic, dentist and doctor visits 18 so far this year
    I hope everyone is well

TA glad to hear that things are progressing well xx

SIL's funeral went off well and the chapel was standing room only. Caught up with Brother and sisters not to mention nieces and nephews.

Our friend's funeral is next Tuesday, I will be glad to put the last few months behind us :(

Beautiful day today after a hard frost last night, I have managed to get the beds changed and everything is out on the line. Strange how a bit of sun lifts your spirits.

I have yet another doctor's appointment this afternoon :(

Now I have to go back and do some reading to catch up with what you have all been up to ;)

Just going to get in the shower

    BFN xx

Good to see you posting again BB - what a rotten time you've had of it all. I hope that things calm down for you and your family.

I've got the front door wide open, the sun is streaming in but it's very cold. It's drying out the coir mat, hopefully for the last time.

My productive time has all be online. Emails etc. And I did my online banking. I phoned M&S bank with a query and managed to lock my account by putting in the wrong security numbers. With ease of use comes long lists of security numbers - anyway, a lovely Welsh chap was very helpful and patient with me. I'm now unlocked.

Dishwasher filled, run and emptied. Cardboard boxes all stashed in the car for a tip run tomorrow on the way to see mum. The living room rugs need washed but I'm reluctant until the builders have finished their work as they'll just need it again. Meanwhile they are muddy footprints all over them, think I'll just not look down!

Lunch was eggs mayo on toast.

There is a nice blue sky here but it is very cold.

Have had several phone calls and now removal date could be the 26th. Phoned removal company and another two lots of people have provisionally booked the same day!!!!

Decided to have a quiet day after all the rushing around over the last few days and to let the EAs, lawyers etc all work it our between them. I said I was happy to fit in with anybody.

Put weight on at the last weigh in so will need to focus on what I plan to eat and stock up with lots of healthy food.

    TA

I am so glad things look as if they are going well and fingers crossed for you both.

I am a nasty sneaky person and would not have binned the meat but would have frozen it till he had forgotten it then used it in the slow cooker in a different recipe.

    LW

I hope things are going better for you and sending positive vibes.

    Hugs to all

No, not yet. :( What I did get was a letter saying they were sorry to take a long time deciding, and they'd write to me again when they'd come to a decision. Complete waste of postage, and of course brought on one of my panic attacks the second I saw the envelope. :(

Camelot sorry to hear of Auntie's passing; I think you're sensible to stay away if the son is likely to cause ructions. x

  • Good evening everyone,

((((hugs)))) to everyone, hoping everyone is well.

Its was cold and frosty this morning and had to scrape the car but its been lovely and sunny, and its so nice to have the days getting longer.

Work has been busy, but only tomorrow and then I'm off for half term:j

This afternoon I popped to Morries and got some great YS bargains. I had a nice loaf of bread and pack of croissants for 15p each, then I also got 4 covent garden soups for 15p each and an organic yogurt for 25p, so very pleased.

DD has her BF round but he will be going about 10pm:rotfl: DS is out, I haven't seen him for 2 days, as he has a GF, so presumably he is with her. At least we haven't run out of coffee and my food stocks are holding up well:D

I cooked a tuna pasta bake for tea, which went down well, I have given the house a good clean, mopped all the floors, and will do the ironing in a minute.

    Have a good evening everyone.
