Hair Extension Company's seems to have gone bust- what should I do?

Hi,

last monday I placed an order with Goldilocks hair extensions. I got an email confirmation informing me that they had been dispatched. However, 10 days later they haven't arrived, but they money has been taken from my account.

In the mean time, the website and facebook page have been shut down. They looked professional so I'm very surprised, their facebook page was popular, they had thousands of likes, etc. so I doubt it was a scam. I tried replying to the email that sent the dispatch confirmation but got an alert saying that the email hadn't been delivered.

Have I been scammed? Do you think the company's gone bust? Is there anything I can do? It's not like they were expensive or anything but I'm annoyed and disappointed! :(

    How did you pay?
How did you checkout this website was ' kosher'?
Is it even a genuine ' company,?
  • Facebook is not a reliable source to be buying products. Anyone can set up a FB account and create fake profiles and fake likes!

The company could well have gone bust (then again maybe they are just having serious system problems).

If you paid by credit or debit card the following is worth reading:

    I paid by debit card.
It looked legitimate and trustworthy- their facebook page had thousands of likes, reviews and pcitures, so it certainly appeared to be a genuine company when I purchased the product.

I didn't buy the product through facebook, I bought it though their website. Some of my facebook friends had even liked the page- they had hundreds of thousands of likes, I find it highly unlikely the page was fake.
