Also, not everyone is able to do this themselves, as you aptly demonstrated. If the OP isn't as fortunate as your friend to have someone like yourself, then their best option is to speak with someone like Stepchange.
to be honest im not very good with this sort of stuff which is probably why I am in this mess in the 1st place0 -

Debt collection usually is a very long process fish finger, can take months, even years.
All you'll get are calls and letters, if stepchange are going to represent you, simply refer any comms to them in future.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Check this with the various helplines, or call the credit cards. Both could set you up on a plan very very quickly. If my post doesn't appear to be serious, then it is not serious. So what? Kick back, relax enjoy life and have a little fun. Life is far far too short to be grumpy!!!!0 -
No offence, but the time you have spent asking questions here, you could have already started to form a plan of action with someone like Stepchange.0

Just to be clear here FF as I think you may have misunderstood. If you have a debt with Natwest credit card and money in your current account with Natwest then there is a possibility for them to take money from your current account to help pay off your debt!
You need to open a new bank account or use one where there is no association to any other debt and use that as your new account.
Be careful here that some credit cards are discreetly connected to different banking organisations.0
