Audi service packs

Hmmm. Not a 2.0tdi S Line by any tiny chance, is it?0

Thanks for your feedback.
It is a 2.0tdi - in another news still waiting to hear what they plan to do about the emissions scandal!?
So it seems clear that for the average joe a yearly service consisting of an oil change and general check is reasonable. Every few years a more 'major' service including changing filters etc.. This is all fine.
The crux of the issue is then, should an Audi service team be selling a minor/major service package to someone who's recently had their filters changed and won't need a major service for another 3/4 years?
My feeling is that it is inappropriate to sell this, and it should be made clear that the major service may not be required for a few years, rather than giving the impression that you're buying 2 services for the price of one.0 -

If you write the car off, the service pack dies with the car as well.0 -
I'm not sure how Audi compare to VW but VW are not to bad on general servicing costs especially on cars over 3 years old, throw in the free papers, coffee and cakes. They drop you home and pick you up again.
I took my in laws golf a few weeks back for basically an oil change service an it cost about £80, using long life oil I doubt an independent would do it much cheaper.
They get expensive for brake pads, timing belts etc though.
VW fixed price servicing is £159 for a minor or a major for £329 and every second service is a major

Seems weird that Audi reccomend minor services and just a major at every 60k miles when they are the same engines.0 -

If your VW is over 3 years old ask the dealer what the 3+ service prices are, my local dealer often has offers on aswell.
VW have a big 5 year service aswell, not much gets done unto that point.0
