Mot ability cancelled contract

My partner has had her motability car for just over 6 months and it's been in and out of the dealership 4-5 times now.
With The most recent fault the rac came and recommended the dealership keep the car until it's sorted.
Unable to fix it motability have cancelled our contract on the grounds the car is dangerous to drive my question is where do we stand with regards our advance payment?

Comments

  • As far as I'm aware Motability refund it on a pro-rata basis ...ie paid £1500 advance payment for 3 year contract & for whatever reason contract stopped after 1 year = £1000 refund.

  • Okay my next question is motability have told us that the only way to keep us mobile is to collect our car from the garage ( we have a courtesy car atm) until our new car is ready so would we have to wait to return our currant car to get our deposit back as it's already been cancelled and we will still be driving it?

You would need to return the courtesy car because at the minute motability will be paying out for that in an effort to keep you mobile.

I would suggest that the only people who can advise on this are Motability themselves
