Good morning all,
It is a beautiful morning here, I have shampooed the carpet in the sitting room, the windows have been thrown open and I am just about to put the washing out.
Camelot so sorry about your Aunt, I think if there is likely to be a scene you are wise to stay away, funerals are not the place for such things. Remember how worried Hester was when MIL died.
I have just showered and hair washed, \i thought I would wait until I had cleaned the carpet.
We had a disturbed night, about 11.30 we heard a loud banging on a door. We thought it was ours, so both jumped out of bed imagining all sorts of things, dashed to the window and couldn't see anything. Himself went downstairs but nothing except screaming at the kids next door.
Why they were not in bed at that time of night I don't know, and whose door was being assaulted I have no idea. When you see these programmes about the neighbours from hell, well they are. It took me ages to go back to sleep.
Dumpling I hope you are feeling a little better now
Have a good day all

Evening everyone
Redruby - I spoke to Dr and he will do a letter to say he isn't on medication so will send in appeal and see. Ds2 has an interview with a college near to his dad's at half term week with a view to doing an apprenticeship or full time college, so I am focusing on that at the moment.
Went to craft group this morning, took my new embroidery machine with me and managed to use it. The other ladies were a great help. Worked for a couple of hours this afternoon and then came home and did a bit of decluttering and tidying.
Camelot - sorry to hear about your Aunt.
Dumpling - well done on getting out and about. You have done amazing.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.0 -
Thought I had posted earlier, obviously not.
Its been a fine, sunny but cold day, managed to get towels out on the whilrly and they dried.
Went into town for some top up shopping, I had a gift card for Sainsbugs, bought a joint of topside which will give us several suppers, its in the freezer.
Knuckling down to finish the second matinee jacket which is going to Aus. want to get it into the post.
No coughing from OH so hope his cough has gone, he is still taking the linctus, will get him to take it till the weekend just to make sure.0 -
Had a busy day and got three loads of washing done, dishwasher loaded twice, kitchen tidied and superking size bed changed.
Had home made soup for lunch and dd coming to take me to slimming club tonight so will eat when we get back. Had a shower and washed my hair so nearly ready to go. Popped out for milk and cereal and brought washing inside to finish drying inside.
I managed to get papers signed at the lawyers yesterday and am still waiting for a firm date to move.
Camelot
I think you are wise not to attend the funeral under the circumstances.
AOD
I have been feeling the cold too so have been turning on the heating with relative abandon. Can't wait for spring and warmer lighter days.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Oh a dilemma, someone has told me there is a part time job going at a local habadashery store. Not sure of hours or pay but would so love to work somewhere like that - been told to nip in and see the owner.0

Camelot so sorry to hear about your aunt xx0 -
Thanks redruby I am working as a support worker on a self employed basis so can pick and choose my hours mainly, though sometimes there are not too many hours as work with mainly emergency social services cases. The part time job would be more regular as long as I don't spend more than I earn! I will call in Friday morning to see the owner.0

Topsy go for it and let us know how you get on.
Evening all.
I've had a lovely day. The dogs have been bathed, groomed and pampered.
I've cleaned the windows, steam cleaned the floors, vacuum throughout. Sorted some stuff out for my daughter to take home tomorrow and steam cleaned the kitchen walls and inside the cupboards. Sorted stuff for hubby to take down the shed.
All in all I've enjoyed myself. I've had breaks in between jobs but I've finished now.
I'm satisfied.
