Eye make-up remover works a treat. I use the bonus time free ones from Clinique. Shouldn't damage the plastic bottles.0

Anything sticky on practically any surface, dog included, can be removed with ordinary cooking oil. When our old dog slid along a freshly gloss painted skirting board it was vegetable oil to the rescue. Use your fingers or a bit of old cloth to "scrub" it in and then use a cloth or kitchen towel to remove. Anything, including the dog can then be washed as normal to remove oil residue.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

I can confirm that it works!
I've long since given up on buying a pepper mill that works for any length of time. What I do now is buy the ones from Aldi or the £ shop which are glass with the peppers in them (and same with sea salt). So that they look ggod on the table I take the labels off and the only way I've managed to get the glue off is with cooking oil.0
