Received a Fitbit HR for Christmas 2015, mid January noticed it had developed a crack on the side.
Looked on various forums and appeared there is an issue and others have had the same problem
I know my initial warranty is with the retailer (UK) but read that people contacting the manufacturer in the USA have had a replacement free of charge and get to keep the old unit
Emailed the company in the USA, reply asking for a photograph sent this off, then asked for a copy of the receipt or if purchased on line a snapshot of the web page, sent this off
Received reply we are shipping a new unit foc from the UK and please dispose of the old unit responsibly
Top marks for the response and the outcome

Seconded. They replaced my ChargeHR with absolutely no fuss (didnt even ask for a photo but I think the fault is common)
Only slight gripe is they insisted on sending it to the original address, which was a Collect+ store, which normally would not accept normal post. Luckily I knew them and they were happy to take it but could have been sticky if you didnt know the store well as it was not an official 'collect+' barcoded parcel.0 -
