Well, they're very distant. The man found hanged is:

    My GGGG grandfather's .... brother's .... GGG grandson.
    :)

It was a curious response to his body being found. Found by an adult male, he said because he'd been in the War he decided to not investigate it, but to call the sons of the deceased ... who were two 17 year old lads! Not very pleasant.

They got up there and decided as the body was stiff and cold, they'd leave it for the police to deal with.

The twins both died, separately, in 2004, aged 83.

I'm sure it's not a good thing .... but the deceased had a violent temper on him, so things will have been quiet at least, except WW2 kicked off 6 months later.

I need that same service Lydia asked for - someone to give me a kick up the a**e if I am still green light after 10.30PM.

Put in an offer on another potential btl/development opportunity today. Needs a lot more research but an offer is not binding after all....
    I think....

How many do you have now? Are we about to rename the area as michael's village?

I'm worried that michaels may take to wearing tweed if he acquires too many;)

Has anyone seen the new fiver yet?

I'm wondering if you can fold it, or if it will fight against that?

I always fold my notes into four so that they fit in my purse, which isn't a wallet type. Will I still be able to do that with the fivers, or will they keep springing open and jumping out?

I bet they're only on the telly and a few (London) posh places that are using them as part of some promotional event, to get people in to see them.

I'd expect it to not be any different to a paper one. It'll fold, screw up, etc.

There was a bit about them on the BBC News website. They're going to be in London and some other cities -Manchester, Birmingham, Hull, Leeds and Cardiff, in ATMs, but of course not many ATMs give out £5 notes at present.

You know the bit where you have a King and all the posh folks .... then they're all Sirs and stuff.

Then the big Sir dies - and has a few sons, so only one gets to be Sir and the rest have to sort themselves out ....

Well, 150 years later my GG'grandfather's sister married ones of those "past toffs", but he'd slid down to being an Innkeeper by then.

Aww - it was all going so well .... then it hit the buffers. Death by twins strikes again. She had twins, they died immediately/soon ... then she died.

Later that year the police picked up her husband, drunk as anything, lying on a bench.... I thought "poor lamb", but it appears he was excited at the voting.
