I have Win 7 installed, use Chrome browser and have also Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 installed.
Whenever I use the internet the Green Padlocked sign doesn’t appear? I go to Google website and it’s just blank. However, when I go to signing in website like Gmail, it is Green Padlocked.
It seems some sites which were secured aren’t now (I recently upgraded from Vista to Win 7), but I think it might have something to do with KIS 2015.
Thanks

Is it still https? As in https://www.google.co.uk/0

On phone it is padlocked, on computer it is blank with software installed as above.0

If I open a new tab in chrome I see a plain google page with nothing in the addressbar. If I type in https://www.google.co.uk in the addressbar it rediects to https://www.google.co.uk I imagine you are getting the same thing.
They way I use a browser doesn't normally involve opening any new tabs (long story why) and I'm not sure if google is the default or something I set years back which was carried forward but it looks to me like it isn't actually google at all but a custom blank page thrown up by chrome.
The time you need to worry is when your email or banking login pages don't show a green padlock.0 -
kwikbreaks,
It is plain and should be 'green padlock' (Google), it is secured when I go to signing in website (Gmail). Yesterday, I went to BHS website and it was plain, the only way I got out of that was to use 'safe money' option.
Something is not right.0 -
The BHS website probably doesn't use SSL. If you were to add something to your shopping basket and go to checkout, you would (should!) be redirected to a page that uses SSL, causing the protocol "https://" to be displayed in the full URL, and a green padlock in Chrome.0

You only need worry about https with its attendant green padlock when logging in to a sensitive site such as email or banking or when going through a payment process where you are expected to enter card details and the like.
If you are worried by the absence of green padlocks then I'd suggest you quit using the MSE site PDQ as the login here isn't through https and neither are any of the profile editting pages.0 -
Just for info...Google still has the green padlock on Firefox with KIS installed....Chrome doesn't offer it, but still indicates https. Hope that puts your mind at rest.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Green for me in Chrome with Panda.0 -
Strange..I disabled Kaspersky to see if that was the reason, but, there is still no padlock with Chrome yet on google site, but OK in FF.
I don't use Chrome as the default browser so haven't noticed to what extent its affected. I tried my banking site and that had the green padlock.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Did you actually type in www,google.co.uk or just open a new tab? What is showing in the address bar. See post #40
