Hi all,

I recieved my Vanquis credit card last week on 4th Feb. Over the weekend 6th and 7th Feb, I spent £175 on it. Today the 9th Feb ive repaid the £175 from my debit card.

My first statement is set to be 21st Feb. My balance this morning was £175 but now ive paid that off its back to £0.00.

Will I incur any interest charges on my first statement date on 21st Feb even though ive paid the balance in full? Ive got this card purely for rebuilding my credit score.

But to ensure you build a credit history, wait for your statement before paying off in full.

Thanks for your fast reply. If I left the balance at £175, would I not incur any interest on my first statement which will be on 21st Feb?

No, as long as you pay in full before your due date.
