this is right at the top of this site after i searched for growth bonds ... but it doesnt give the rates .... are the halifax the best

You basically pay for the guarantee of not losing your original investment - supposedly.
In reality you can stand to lose a lot and gain very little. The only people making something out of it is the company you invest with.
