Hi,
Basically having a few issues with my isp, ill start from beginning so i used to live on my own, had sky fibre internet.. Also had alot connected to it sky box, ipad, phone, laptop, ps4 and pc. My setup there was from router i had one of them homeplugs which gave me a wired link to my ps4.. My gaming was immense i would play cod bo3 and 90% of times get a score of around 2kd ratio every now and then id hit 8kd ratio etc my k/d ratio ave was around 2.. Due to amount of games i quit out due to tea being rdy, shooting out etc anyway so with that i was amazed amazing net and amazing gameplay id say with speed test i was hitting around 30mb down and 10 up
So now i moved back to my mums, she has virgin media 100mb same set up homeplugs to give me a wired connection... The game is so delayed and i mean so delayed, ive played at 8pm, 10pm, 2am and now 1pm... All the same its horrendous at my old house i never ever got more deaths than kills... EVER... Now here under vm played 2 games got 5 kills 10 deaths both games
So to me all thats changed is sky to vm.. Now ud have thought it would be better seen as i getting 100mb on virgin not 30.. Anyway now down to the question!
Does the router matter with being a wired connection - as in say if i go buy the top of the range router... Will this give me better connection to make me kick !!! again or because its wired would this make no difference
And if it wont make a difference my next question what can i do to sort it, i cant play like this lol.. I rang vm they dont really care much to be fair
I just wanna be able to play where when i shoot at someone on my screen first i kill them first not i shoot on my screen watch replay and they started shooting me first!! Crazy!
Thanks alot

have you tried plugging directly into the VM router rather than through the home plugs?0

Have you measured the speed from the home plug ??
Tried moving the home plug to another socket in and out .0 -

Do the trace on https://www.bbc.co.ukScience isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0 -

bl00dy awful wifi performance for starters, ping on VM traditionally poor. Do a wifi survey around the house, you may be able to change channel to a less congested one. Is it the superhub or older router?......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0
