Egg Credit Card

Well I got my new egg card and activated it and everything and that was fine, until someone from 'egg securities' wanted to speak with me. I obviously said no and I'd call them back.

Called back at 5:15pm after work to get that the department is now closed and only open till 5pm. They have blocked my card as I don't have a work telephone number and there are no notes as to why or what is going to be done. All I've been told is to call back between 9 and 5 Mon-Fri to get it sorted!!!

What is with their phone system. It's annoying that you have to press buttons but you have to speak to the computer, I coughed twice and it put me back to the main menu on both occasions. I've never used anything so annoying in all my life.!. I asked if you could press a button to skip and they said no.

So all in all really unhappy about my egg card. Jeez, why can't companies get it right!!!!

I have just got a new egg card and have done all my activation etc online...no phone hassle at all!:D

Yes, also have had no problems with Egg. I like them too. Sorry you are having problems. Although Friday last week I asked for a transfer of some money from Barclays to Egg and it hasn't yet come through to Egg. Anyone know if that's unusual? If it doesn't come through by Tuesday, I'll secure message Egg to ask (easier than trying to contact a human at Barclays).
