Retailer charging £25 for refund

the bank would charge about 50pDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

As others have said they can't charge you an admin fee under the consumer contract regulations, get on the phone to Halifax and raise a dispute on the transaction.0

I would mention trading standards not small claims.0

Well i emailed Staddons informing them that they are breaking UK consumer law but they basically said they're not and now I've got to wait a further week before they refund me £3 :rotfl:
I've initiated a dispute through Halifax and also reported the barstewards to Trading Standards over their illegal T&Cs. I was told by the very helpful advisor that Nottingham Trading Standards will be in touch with Staddons very soon....:)0 -
If the worst came to the worst I would just buy the items then try and sell on Ebay or the like. You might get more than your £3 back.0
