Morning all,
Hope alls well with everyone. I just don't seem to have had the time to get on here recently! Not that anything major has been going on, just life getting in the way.
We went to check on the caravan on Sunday only to find we have had a mouse visitor. We did put some stuff down in case they arrived and that had been disturbed but no mice we could see. There were two places they had left some of the stuff along with some bits of pillow they had decided to chew. Luckily they haven't touched our new duvet and pillows! Hence to say we bought the lot back, re baited and shall return at the weekend to check again.
Right I'm off to pick up some bits courtesy of freecycle. Have a lovely day0 -
Morning all

Morning all,
DGs happily watching cartoons so I've got a minute free. We've just had a load of hail come down, makes a change from rain I suppose.I dont think we've had more than a couple of days rain free since the start of November.
I read in the paper that a top vet said dogs were getting depressed due to all the rain & some owners weren't taking them out due to the wet and mud.I go out every day come rain or shine but I think its me getting fed up with large muddy footprints and my large wet dog/soggy towels
Gers-hope your builder finds the gap soon.I completely understand you dont want to put your new floor down yet.DH is undecided whether to put the same kind down when we replace the flood damaged one eventually. The laminate isnt too bad but there are some areas worse than others where its swelled and is out of shape but it'll have to stay put for a bit longer!
I made a beef & red wine casserole yesterday for tonights tea,its easier when I have dgs.Had some lovely sausages last night 97% meat, everyone enjoyed them.I'm out for my lunch tomorrow with my old friend from school ,not seen her since early December so looking forward to a catch up.
Hope you get sorted at your Mums home Judi.
Have good days all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning, (((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))) if you need one. Still feeling a bit off, no idea why, slept ok last night, so well I did not hear the alarm so got breakfast in bed, makes a change from me getting OH breakfast, he used to hate eating in bed, but he seems to be taking to it remarkably well!!
Just had a letter from the council, they have put our rent payment down for next month. We must have caught up with the arrears which was the councils fault. Someone put the paper work in a try and forgot about it, so we ended up 5 weeks in arrears.....I was not happy. we were paying over £75 a month more than we should have been doing. We will go through the whole things again in April when I have to put in the paper work for our pensions from the civil service.
Its a bright, but chilly morning, we have sun, but the wind is bitter, I have the sheets etc on the whirly, hope they dry a bit. have the towels in to do tonight, so hope its decent again tomorrow. Trying not to use the dryer unless I am forced.
Turned the living room heater off, despite not putting anything on the fire after 8pm last night the cinders were still hot, relaid the fire, opened the draght and away the fire went. unless it turns really cold I am not putting the heater back on. Still have the heaters on in the hall and kitchen.
OH spent a while in the back garden, he says there are a lot of bulbs coming through, there should be I planted 200 out there in the autumn.
Spag bol for supper, need to cook the sauce......no garlic bread, OH will have to put up with ordinary bread.0 -

Hi all,
Hugs to those who need them xx
Another poor nights sleep, up at 4:30 again this morning Grrrr.... In work for 6am - roads were like rivers in some areas - still good compared to our friends to the North though, thankfully.
Trying to wade through DH,s Tax return, got book keeping software, still got my L plates on, but the customer support is good.
DH is buying a pie from a fab butchers as he,s working near them - so pie and mash followed by pancakes with banana and HM caramel sauce with whipped cream or icecream - no wonder I,m putting on weight. At least I quit the smoking - 2 years come March
Off to find coffee and fight with the accounting software - keep safe all XNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

My DOH cooked tea last night, Meatballs and Taglitelle which was lovely, not sure how he managed to get the tom sauce everywhere mind, top of the stove looked like a scene out of a Quentin Tarrantino movie :rotfl:
Didn't want to bother getting bathed and dressed this morning - there was a ruddy great BD sitting on me when it was time to get out of bed.:( Had that awful nightmare again last night, also we have no RL dogs here atm.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I had a really restless night perhaps because instead of moving house on 19th it now looks like the 25th and nothing is firmly decided yet.
I spent all morning on the shuttle bus to get to the other side of town so I could see the lawyer and sign some forms. I got a few bits and pieces from the supermarket and made a big pot of soup for later and am now putting my feet up and having a browse on here.
I got some YS fruit and veg and called in at the butcher and got frozen hanger steak, a few sausages and a small gammon joint.
Hugs to all and stay safe in this bad weather."This site is addictive!"
