Hi,
Is anyone else experiencing issues with HUMAX Video recorders especially model HDR-1000s or HDR-1010s. Ours stopped working in January 2016. I have called Humax only to be told it is a known problem. They said that technicians are investigating the problem and an update would be available after the 29th January 2016. This date has come and gone no update is available and no timescales for resolving the issue are available. Boxes under warranty are being replaced however, the gentleman I spoke to said is the only thing they can do however, there is no guarantee that this will resolve the problem. The gentleman at Humax said there is no one at HUMAX that can give any further information about this problem. Are you having problems if so, please post your experience.

I've got a HDR-1000S, no problems (apart from what appears to be a slowing down of the box which means it needs to be be rebooted every 2-3 weeks or so).0

Having followed the link I am obviously not the only person with the problem. Most depressing is that HUMAX don't appear to be doing to much about the problem. Having been a very satisfied HUMAX customer until now ! I would certainly NOT recommend HUMAX. Their customer service is awful with staff that can't be bothered about the customers. Perhaps we need to tell them that customers pay their wages !!!.0 -
Not dismissing your problem as I know how frustrating it can be, but don't forget that for companies selling products like this, it's new customers that pay the wages.
I don't know much about Humax, have always thought of them as a premium brand, how old is your box?0 -

Glad i found this thread i was about to buy a humax freesat 1000s refurb from humax not now having read the humax forum problems.thanks saved me some money ill wait and see if humax/freesat fix the problems0
