My wife has recently had a fraudulent transaction on her tesco credit card of £280 with send mum on holiday to and then a mobile number as the ref. Tesco are dealing with it just wondered what it is can't find any info. A guy a skewered the mobile number sound like an East Londoner and said he had no idea about it.
Any help would be appreciated

If you've reported it to Tesco and they are investigating then the best advice would be to not get involved any further - and I certainly wouldn't have gone ringing some random phone number; if it's a fraudulent transaction then I wouldn't be surprised if the poor chap whose phone number was used was also a victim of fraud. Don't worry, you'll get the money refunded ( in my experience Tesco are very good in this respect - not that other card companies aren't ). If you have any questions then speak only to the Tesco fraud team - they'll be more aware of what's been found out so far, and they'll have the specialist knowledge to deal with it.0

There's no money to be refunded, Tesco will simply remove it from the account and it won't appear on your statement and you'll never have to pay it. Really there's no help required from here, Tesco will deal with everything.0

Mum says thanks by the way!
Seriously, you have had all e right advic it hasn't actually come out of your bank account, it has for a period of time reduced your available credit but you won't have to pay for it so don't worry about it, just tell the story and enjoy the laughs at their cheek. You won't have lost out apart from the inconvenience of having to report it.0 -
Had a problem recently with several transactions on my Tesco card which were not mine. I hesitate to call them fraudulent - one was for a year's advance sub to a Gym and another for a series of driving lessons !! I assume that there was some sort of account number "overlap" as I can't see how anyone would think they could get away with paying in advance!!0
