Atos tel. 2hrs before my appointment for a PIP assessment to cancel, this assessment was not close to me ( 2 bus and 1 train ride plus approx. 30mins walking) and a friend kindly took unpaid leave to take me. She offerred me another appointment at the same place, I asked for an appointment nearer my home, 1 bus ride away 35mins. She said she will send this back to DWP for them to sort out.
Is there anything I need to do, as I have read some horror stories.

Stick to ya guns. Don't let these scare tactics bully you.
You only hear the horror stories because those are loudest.. but there is many good stories out there too with good people genuinely wanting to help get other people get into some form of work IF possible, to improve confidence, meet friends etc. Try to embrace it and don't worry so much, you'll be fine. As humans we are good at surviving - and no point worrying about something you can't change/influence.0
