quick q? Can't access some websites (those where i have to put paswords in). help?

Hi,
Just wanted to know how i can access my facebook account on IE as I can only access it on Mozilla firefox. Wasn't a problem on IE until a few weeks ago. Dont quite know why its happened.
Thing is my sis has same problem on her comp too but worse-she really cant access anything that has a password on IE and for some reason cant access internet on Mozilla firefox. So here I am!

Sorry if this has been posted before.

Thanks

Could you be a little more specific? Do you just get a blank screen? Any errors?

Hmm. Best bet is to do a round of malware scans, to rule that out.
Spybot and Adaware to clear out any nasties, and give your computer a scan with your AV program (Which one do you have?)
If neither of those help, visit:

Open that in Internet Explorer and run it, see what it finds.

    Hi,

I don't know if you've solved your problem by now, but I have a suggestion.

I discovered that when I couldn't access 'username/password' sites the problem was the McAfee security suite I'd installed. Removing it solved the problem.

    Hope this helps.

Ive sorted my prob by turning windows firewall off. I have zone alarm-so prob conflicting.

Thing is my sis had her comp looked at two days ago cos it was slow and they sorted that side of things and now she's got this prob and the guys who 'sorted' it out want £50 call out fee!! She cant get onto any secure sites.

I dont think its worth it as its a common problem, isnt it? Just wondering what the problem is.
