in Credit cards
Good afternoon, I run a community youth club and have found a supplier in india for items that the group need. The order will consist of 45 pairs of sports gloves. total cost £410.
I haven't used this company before & I'm aware that we are purchasing with the youth clubs precious cash. my question is if I use my credit card for the payment would I be covered under section 75, in case the items are not fit for purpose or do not appear at all? I have done all reasonable business checks of the supplier but I still am aware that the purchase may contain risks.
I welcome any advice thank you.

In all likelihood you won't be covered - as per the advice quoted below, the individual item has to cost more than £100. So although you're spending more than £100 in one transaction, each item is less than £100.

Especially the part that says "
It's still unclear whether the bill or the item needs to be over £100
This information is based on conversations with eminent legal brains and Trading Standards. Yet this part of the law hasn't been tested in court so far.
Therefore, if in doubt, it's always worth contacting your credit provider to make a claim. If you consider it to be a ‘single item', make sure that's how you phrase it. Please report your experiences in the single item claims thread to help others.
