Parcel account recommendations

We currently use Interparcel and Hermes to send our parcels (Hermes UK and Interparcel overseas) but I'm looking at getting an account set up as the volume is increasing.

Currently sending between 5-15 parcels a week, but it's increasing - most are 2-5kg in weight and in fairly big boxes (bigger than a crisp box) so they need to be collected, we can't drop off.

I was talking to a fellow trader at the weekend and they have an account with Parcelforce where any UK parcel costs just £8.50 for pickup and delivery.

Does anyone have any similar deal with another company and can recommend them?

UK Mail were cheaper by a good margin, I used a third party to get me an account and set it up.

Worked very well for me, timely collections, a guy on the end of the phone if there were queries or problems.

Have to be careful of the Highland and Island zones, they have surcharges.

You might be doing enough volume to make DPD worth a call - not necessarily the cheapest but are very good, very granular tracking and customers love the 1hr delivery window and SMS alerts and being able to rebook or nominate a neighbour.

There is a lot of discussion on carriers on the Ebay board including some people who send in volume. It may be worth looking on there or transferring this thread.
