HP Elitebook / wifi query

Options
Another quest for help from me!

A friend is staying with me at the moment and their device - a HP Elitebook - is unable to detect any networks (red wifi button lit). I know it's not my broadband as all 5 of my devices work...usually there's a button on the keyboard or on the side of the laptop that can be used to turn on the wifi capability again. Can I for the life of me find it? No....

Any solutions? Dr Google doesn't seem to be much help this morning.

TIA
